The new Semi-Hermetic 1-stage reciprocating compressors Bitzer Ecoline series for R134a

During the last years the influence of refrigeration on the environment has increasingly become the focus of public discussion. Besides energy efficiency, which has always been a major issue for BITZER, the total CO2 balance of the refrigeration system (energy consumption, leakage and recovery losses) is an essential criterion for environmental compatibility. Comprehensive analyses of supermarket systems have shown that at present for medium temperature applications R143a offers the best ecological efficiency. For this BITZER has developed new optimized R134a compressors adapted especially to medium temperature applications with significantly improved efficiency at low condensing temperatures. The application limits have been expanded towards lower condensing temperatures so that the annual COP can be increased up to 20%.

With the CE4 to BE6 series BITZER offers compressors especially optimized for R134a that meet the challenging demands of modern refrigerant systems:

  • tandem compressors for CE4 to BE6 series: 69 m3/h to 303 m3/h (50 Hz).

Performance data

Performance data are based on the European Standard EN 12900 and 50 Hz operation. Performance data for individual operating conditions and 60 Hz operation see BITZER Software.

All data do not include liquid subcooling. Based on EN 12900 the rated cooling capacity and efficiency (COP) show therefore lower values in comparison to data based on 5 or 8.3 K subcooling. For further information see Refrigerant Report (A-501).
